How cool is this?? I for one am freaking out because I am so so happy that you are here! Summer challenge say whaaaaaat. Also how on EARTH are we basically a month away from December? As I'm writing this I am currently two weeks post partum and wow. Adjusting to this new season definitely is tricky but I know the power of community and that is exactly why I started Getupgurl and why I join every challenge because I LOVE the accountability!
Well done to taking the first step towards your mental health. You already did the most! Now we just shift into gear from the 3rd of November I cannot WAIT.
This challenge is going to do exactly what it says. You are going to LOVE yourself after this. You'll see how much you are capable of. And the best of all? I get to witness your small wins with you!

This challenge will run from 3 to 30 November.Short and sweet but just enough days to get you in the right mindset and habits throughout the festive season!

How will the winner be determined?
We are basing the 4 week challenge winner on participation in the challenge. This means sending photos on the group, showing up and sending updates.
Posting about it online. Tag us on instagram if you're about that life :) I'll be watching closely!
NB- You need to request access to our facebook and whatsapp group as this is where we will be posting daily updates and motivation. This is also where the accountability is at in keeping consistent. This is where you get to show up in a safe space and we looooooove to see your updates! Please go to your profile on the app and click on the whatsapp and facebook buttons. You will be redirected.
As we are improving this app we are working with what we have at this moment!
That means that your home page will be your best friend and guidance throughout this challenge.
Stay updated and check for your weekly articles updates that will have your weekly recipes and weekly shopping list ready for you to be able to do this challenge smoothly. Remember. Failing to plan is planning to fail! (I'm whispering this to myself hehe)
The workouts are home based and you can do them with the built in timer and demonstrations right here on this app. So make sure to get some dumbells and a mat!
Can I do this challenge with a monthly subscription?
Yes you'll be able to, But you won't be eligible for the prizes we have in store!
We require you to have a yearly membership to be able to receive the prizes! Also think long term. We will be running challenges throughout the year. And the new year 2026 challenge is going to be 8 weeks long! And the prizes will be NEXT LEVEL. I don't take that statement lightly. We sent 2 couples to Mauritius 2 years ago so best believe when I say when I go big, I go BIG!!!
So when you have the yearly membership it means that you have access to join these challenges and you already paid your entry fee for the whole year!

Do I need workout equipment?
You don’t need expensive equipment to do the workouts on the GetUpGurl App — it’s designed to be simple and accessible! Here’s what you can use:
Basic equipment
Weights: Dumbbells are useful, but you can easily use water bottles or canned food as an alternative.
Exercise mat: A mat makes floor exercises like planks, crunches, or stretches more comfortable. A towel or blanket also works well if you don’t have a mat.
Skipping rope: Great for cardio, but if you don’t have one, just swing your arms and do “high knees” — it’s just as effective!
Step or stair: Use a step in your home, a sturdy box, or even a low wall for step-ups or stair jumps.
💡 Tips to improvise
A chair can help with balance or be used for triceps dips.
Use a wall for wall-sits or stretches.
The most important thing is to keep moving and challenge your body — with or without fancy equipment!
Listen I can yap all day about how excited I am for this challenge and to walk a journey with all of you. But for now, Get settled into the app. Get your mindset right. Tell your friends to join so you can do it together and lets go and get our mindsets right for the holidayyyyyyyyys.
